CBI Closure Report Sushant Singh Rajput Case:
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has finished no proof found its investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput case, filing a final report over four years later. Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. His death caused a lot of public shock and many different theories emerged, leading to the CBI taking over the case.
The investigators have filed their final reports on two parts of the case: first, the accusations Sushant Rajput’s father made against Rhea Chakraborty, and second, Rhea Chakraborty’s accusations against Sushant’s family.
Following Sushant Rajput’s death, his father filed a police report in Bihar, claiming Rhea Chakraborty had pushed him to suicide. The family accused her of mentally abusing him, giving him drugs, taking his money, and contributing to his death.
When the CBI took over, they sent forensic experts to examine the scene. They also collected and analyzed his laptop, hard drives, camera, and phones. Over 20 people, including Rhea Chakraborty, were questioned during the investigation.
The CBI started their investigation in August 2020, after the Bihar Police handed it to them. After four years of Sushant Singh Rajput case investigation, they found no evidence that Sushant Rajput was forced to kill himself. They cleared Rhea Chakraborty and her family, as well as everyone else named in the two police reports. The CBI concluded no one was responsible for his death. Now that the investigation is complete, the court in Bandra will hold a hearing on April 8th. If the court accepts the final report, the case will be closed.

‘After nearly four and a half years, the CBI has finished its investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and filed a final report. We appreciate the CBI’s thorough investigation. The amount of false information spread on social media and TV was unnecessary. Innocent people were harassed and displayed publicly. We hope this doesn’t happen again in any future case,’ said Maneshinde.
“Rhea suffered greatly and was wrongly jailed for 27 days until the Bombay High Court released her. I’m proud to have defended her family for free. This shows our legal system works, and anyone seeking justice can have hope. Truth always wins!” said Maneshinde.
