Mission Raniganj Real Story:
In West Bengal, there was a coal mine accident. The water table wall at Raniganj, West Bengal, created a crack on November 13, 1989, when coal mines were being blasted. The cracks began to fill up with water quickly. Out of the 220 employees there, six passed away immediately as a result. They rapidly took out everybody who was close to the lift. 65 workers remained stranded after this.
Jaswant Singh Gill had been posted there as Additional Chief Mining Director at the time of the disaster. All 65 workers were saved from tragedy because to him. He constructed a number of boreholes where the miners became trapped in order to feed and water them until they were rescued safely.
